R.E. Trip Chalkley, III

The Commonwealth's Attorney is the minister of justice, which means I not only prosecute cases but after conviction seek an appropriate sentence. An appropriate sentence includes attempting to secure appropriate restitution for victims. On occasion, the Commonwealth's Attorney will decline to prosecute cases because of insufficient evidence, or if the conduct alleged does not constitute a criminal violation.
