Fun Funds Financial Assistance program is designed to provide financial assistance to Hanover County residents who may not otherwise be able to participate in Hanover County Parks and Recreation programs.
Completed Fun Funds Applications and all required documentation can be submitted online using this form.
You will receive an email and phone call regarding the status of your application within ten (10) business days following receipt of the application.
Submission of a Fun Funds Application and approval of Fun Funds does not guarantee enrollment. To enroll in a program, you must register for programs online at www.hanoverparksrec.com or submit a Hanover County Parks and Recreation Registration form, in accordance with the registration process.
Hanover County Parks and Recreation Department does not guarantee any financial assistance to applicants.
Hanover County residents are eligible to apply for Fun Funds to reduce the fee for any community recreation program for each dependent family member that receives public assistance. Proof of residency may be required.
Acceptable forms of public assistance include the following: Medicaid, Free or Reduced school lunch, SNAP (food stamps), TANF, WIC, Head Start or FAMIS. Documentation from the agency providing assistance (including eligibility dates and the name of the dependent) must be provided at the time of application.
The financial assistance maximum is 80% of full enrollment fee per program, per participant. Applicants will be asked how much they are able to afford, requesting assistance for the remaining balance.
Hanover County Parks and Recreation reserves the right to limit the number and amount of scholarships based upon funds available and to decline funding for applicants that do not follow Fun Funds Application instructions.
No applicant, in any way, will be favored or discriminated against solely because of race, creed, national origin, sex, age, handicap, political opinion, or religious belief.
