Reconstruction of the Lewistown Road Bridge over I-95 is in its final stages. The Virginia Department of Transportation has been hampered by winter weather but hopes to have the project completed this month. VDOT notes that if winter weather continues to slow work, completion of the project may need to be pushed into spring.
The new bridge is being built to current height standards and widened to accommodate two westbound lanes and one eastbound lane. Information on the project can be read here.
