Rabies Vaccination Clinic

First rabies vaccination clinic on Saturday

Hanover Animal Control makes it easy for people to get their pets vaccinated by holding rabies vaccination clinics in the fall and winter. The first clinic of this season will be held on Saturday, November 9, at Western Hanover Church from 9 a.m. to noon. The Western Hanover Church is located at 16050 Mountain Road in Montpelier. Vaccines will be administered at a cost of $8 per dog or cat. 

E-Waste Collection Event

E-waste recycling event at Verdi Lane this Saturday

On Saturday, November 9, Hanover County will host an e-waste collection event at the Mechanicsville Solid Waste Convenience Center at 7427 Verdi Lane.  The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event is for Hanover County residents only.  No business generated material will be accepted.  Call the Hanover County Department of Public Works at 365-6181 for further information.

Shred-it Event

Sheriff’s Office hosts identity theft shred-it event this Saturday

The Hanover Sheriff's Office and Hanover-Ashland Triad are providing an opportunity to shred your personal documents on Saturday, November 9, at the Kroger in Rutland (Rt. 301). You can bring up to two 10X13X18 boxes OR three paper grocery bags of your personal information to have it shredded at a cost of $5 per vehicle as well as a non-perishable food item for the local food banks. The truck will be on site from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until the truck is full. It’s first come, first served. The address is 9351 Atlee Road, Mechanicsville (Rutland Shopping Center).
