Workshop on development disability waivers

This Wednesday, September 25, Hanover’s Community Services Board will sponsor a workshop to help residents affected by Developmental Disabilities access the statewide waiver waiting list. Developmental Disability Waivers is a program offering community and home based support to adults and children affected by Developmental Disabilities such as Autism or Intellectual Disability. The CSB is the single point of entry to access these services.  The workshop is open to the public and will take place from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Mechanicsville Library (7461 Sherwood Crossing Place, Mechanicsville, VA 23111). Participants in the workshop will learn if their loved one is eligible for the program, how to get linked to services, and gain an understanding of Developmental Disability Waivers. For more information or to RSVP, visit www.hanovercounty.gov and search “Developmental Disability Waivers” or contact Dyanne Gordon, Intake and Outreach Specialist at 804-365-4232.
