Tomato Festival begins Friday night

The annual Hanover Tomato Festival begins tomorrow night at 5:30 p.m. and continues on Saturday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Held at Pole Green Park, this popular festival is a free outdoor, family and pet friendly event. Delicious Hanover Tomato cuisine, over 150 artisan and local business vendors, Live musical entertainment, a MaterFUN play area for children featuring, rides, games and contests. A Hanover tradition since 1978, you're invited to try a slice of Hanover's favorite fruit at the Festival Welcome Tent on Friday and Saturday.

School Supply Drive

School Supply donation drive for needy students

Through August 5, the Hanover Youth Service Council (HYSC) is coordinating a countywide school supply drive. All supplies benefit Hanover’s elementary, middle, and high school students in need. This signature service project has been conducted by HYSC members for the past 20 years. Items can be dropped off at designated locations in Ashland, Mechanicsville, Hanover, Montpelier and Rockville.

Hanover's cannery is now open
