All are invited to honor our military veterans by attending the Memorial Day program being held at the Hanover Veterans Memorial at Hanover Wayside Park on Monday, May 27. The program will begin at 10 a.m. Veterans who gave their life defending our nation and those who are currently serving to ensure our freedom will be honored. Hanover Wayside Park is located on U.S. Rt. 301 about a mile north of Hanover High School. County offices, trash centers and libraries closed Monday
Hanover County government offices, trash and recycling centers and branches of the Pamunkey Regional Library will be closed on Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day.
Full funding received for widening of Pole Green Road
Hanover County has secured the additional funding needed to widen Pole Green Road from Bell Creek Road to just beyond Rural Point Road. The Richmond Regional Transportation Planning Organization has also agreed to provide $2.5 million in funding for Phase II of the widening of Atlee Station Road, with a commitment to provide additional funding.
