Atlee Library groundbreaking

A groundbreaking ceremony was held at the site of the Atlee Library on Wednesday, May 15, and construction is underway. Naming of Bridge after Lt. Clark

Bridge named after Lt. Clark

The Pole Green Road bridge over I-295 has been named after the late Hanover firefighter Lt. Brad Clark, who was killed last October when struck by a tractor trailer while responding to a traffic accident near that spot. The bridge is now named the Lieutenant Bradford T. Clark, Hanover Fire-EMS Memorial Bridge. The County's request to rename the bridge was approved by the General Assembly and the Commonwealth Transportation Board. Board of Supervisors to hold public hearing to receive School Board nominations on Wednesday night

The Board of Supervisors meets at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22. Between 6 and 7 p.m.., the Board will hear an update from the executive director of the Richmond Regional Planning District Commission and consider a request for authorization to advertise a public hearing regarding containment of running bamboo. At 7 p.m., the Board will hold a public hearing to receive nominations for the Beaverdam and Henry District representatives on the School Board. Following that public hearing, the Board will hold public hearings on the secondary road six-year plan and several Planning public hearings. Board meetings can be watched live online with the archived version up on Thursday afternoon.
