"Hanover's Sounds" concert tomorrow at Hanover High School

Tomorrow's “Hanover’s Sounds Festival” that was scheduled for Pole Green Park has been moved to Hanover High School due to the threat of inclement weather. Performing from 4-8 p.m. at this special event will be the All-County Elementary Choir, the Hanover Concert Band, Remnants Rock-n-Soul Band, the All-County High School Jazz Band and the Richmond Symphony featuring NO BS! Atlee Library groundbreaking May 15

A groundbreaking ceremony for the new Atlee Library will be held on Wednesday, May 15, at 4:30 p.m. Construction has begun on the site, at the corner of U.S. Rt. 301 and Rutlandshire Drive, and is expected to take about a year. Representatives of the Board of Supervisors and Pamunkey Regional Library Board will speak during the short ceremony. The new Atlee Library will replace the storefront facility in the Atlee Square Shopping Center when opened next summer.

New software system to enhance services for Building Inspection, Planning, Public Works; changes next week

Beginning the week of May 20, the Hanover County departments of Building Inspections, Planning and Public Works will go-live with a new software system that will improve customer service. For example, customers will have an increased ability to pay fees to these departments online, to report Code violations and to check the status of their applications. The transition begins May 16 – click here for changes to services during the transition.
