School Board meets on April 9

The Hanover County School Board has its monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 9, at 7 p.m. Among the items on the agenda is consideration of a recommendation by Dr. Mike Gill, Superintendent, to withdraw from the regional MathScience Innovation Center due to a loss of $491,000 in funding from the original proposed governor’s budget. It is anticipated that along with some attrition savings, the action of withdrawing from the MSiC will cover the lost funding without jeopardizing initiatives on the School Board’s adopted budget.
