Planning Academy offered in January

Anyone who wants to learn more about how Hanover plans for future development of the County is invited to apply for the Citizens Planning Academy, which will be held on five evenings beginning January 29, 2019. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Friday, January 18. Applicants selected to participate will be notified by the Planning Office shortly thereafter. Holiday hours given for County offices and facilities

Hanover County Government offices, courts, solid waste centers and library branches will be closed on Monday, December 24 and Tuesday, December 25 for Christmas and on Monday, December 31, and Tuesday, January 1 for New Year’s.

CASA program seeking volunteers

The Hanover Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program is now accepting applications for the next volunteer training, scheduled to begin on February 26, 2019.The Hanover CASA program trains, recruits, and supervises volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children involved in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court process.  If you are interested in becoming a CASA Volunteer, contact Melanie Baker at 365-4296 or at [email protected] The application deadline is February 15.
