Board to meet at 3 p.m. tomorrow; public hearings at 7
The Hanover County Board of Supervisors will hold its final meeting of 2018 on Wednesday, December 12, beginning at 3 p.m. Among the items on the afternoon agenda, the Board will hear presentations on the 2019 real estate assessment, receive annual reports on Community Development and Human Resources and discuss the recruitment options for a County Attorney to replace longtime Sterling E. Rives III, who has announced his retirement effective March 1, 2019. Public hearings will begin at 7 p.m. The Board will hold a public hearing on the disposal of property that had been designated for the Elton J. Wade Sr. Park at Cold Harbor to the American Battlefield Association as part of the Cold Harbor battlefield. Among the other public hearings:
- A request to change the designation of property located on the southwest quadrant of the intersection of Lewistown Road and Lakeridge Parkway (Lewistown Commerce Center, L.L.C.) from Destination Commerce to Multi-Use.
- A request to rezone about 9 acres on the east side of Lakeridge Parkway for the development of a 1.1-acre office building site and a 7.9-acre townhouse community, also part of the Lewistown Commerce Center, L.L.C. request.
- A request to amend the Comprehensive Plan to add a text section on Active Living that promotes planning for pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure within the Suburban Service Area.
A request by Marchetti Properties, III, L.L.C. to rezone about 324 acres on the east side of U.S. Rt. 33 at the Henrico County line is expected to be deferred.
