Hanover firefighter killed in line of duty

Hanover County is dealing with a tragedy today. Fire/EMS Lt. Brad Clark of Henry Station 6 was killed in the line of duty and two other firefighters were seriously injured when their fire truck was struck from behind by a tractor-trailer on southbound I-295 at about 9 p.m. last night. According to the Virginia State Police, the crew was providing assistance with a two-vehicle crash and had all of its emergency equipment activated. The driver of the tractor-trailer had to be extricated from the cab of the truck and was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
