Roundabout at intersection of Studley and Rural Point Roads

Construction of roundabout starts Monday

On Monday, June 4, construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Studley Road and Rural Point Road will begin.  This project will construct a single lane roundabout at the intersection of Studley Road (Route 606) and Rural Point Road (Route 643). Curb and gutter improvements, drainage improvements, lighting, landscaping and additional signage to enhance the safety of the intersection also will be constructed. Taylor's Pirate Fishing Fun

Family Fishing event tomorrow

Hanover County Parks and Recreation, Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, Virginia Fishing Adventures and Bass Pro present the annual Taylor’s Pirate Fishing FUN event on Saturday, June 2. The event, held at the pond at Courthouse Park, runs from 4-7 p.m. This is a great opportunity for youth to try fishing for the first time, or more experienced anglers to catch the ‘big one’. This catch and release fishing experience is the perfect way to get your child hooked on fishing. Watch the video here.

Library Summer Reading Program

Library Summer Reading program starts tomorrow

Families are invited to take part in our 2018 Summer Reading Program, "Reading Takes You Everywhere!," at all Pamunkey Regional Library branch locations. Reach your reading goal and receive a prize! Many fun, free programs for families will be taking place at the library this summer. Sign-up at your local branch library starting Saturday, June 2. First half of real estate taxes due Tuesday

A friendly reminder: all first half 2018 Hanover County real estate taxes are due and payable on or before Tuesday, June 5. Anyone owning property who has not received a bill and whose real estate taxes are not processed by their Mortgage Company may go on-line to pay, review and/or print their bill(s), or may call the Hanover County Treasurer’s Office at 804-365-6050 or 804-730-6050.
