Atlee Road Extended project update

Atlee Road is being extended to connect to Atlee Station Road near Warren Avenue. The project includes a bridge over the railroad, a traffic signal and modifications to Cool Spring Road and Atlee Station Road to connect with the new Atlee Road extension. Intersection re-alignment Cedar Lane and Route 1

Cedar Lane/Rt. 1 intersection project

The intersection of Cedar Lane and U.S. Rt. 1 is being re-aligned to make it more of a 90-degree angle. Route 1 will also be widened to provide right and left turn lanes at the new intersection. Here's a video on this construction project. The VDOT website has more information on this project.

Deadline to register for senior event

The deadline has come to register to attend Hanover County's largest resource collaboration event for seniors, the third annual “Finding Value in Your Prime”. It will be held on Saturday, April 28, from 8:30 am to 2 p.m. at the Brock Center at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland.

Deadline to sign up for CERT classes

Are you prepared for an emergency? Would you like to learn how to help your family and neighbors if one occurs? Then you are invited to become a member of Hanover County’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). April 14 is the deadline to register for the classes, which begin on April 18 and will be held at the Farrington Fire Station.
