Board to hold public hearing on budget Wednesday

The Board of Supervisors will hold its public hearing on the proposed County budget for Fiscal year 2019 at 7 p.m. on Wednesday night, April 4. You may sign up to speak on the budget beginning around 6:30 p.m. The County Administrator’s budget presentation can be watched here. Board meetings can be watched live online with the archived version up on Thursday afternoon.

County newsletter on website

The Spring 2018 issue of “The Hanover Review”, the County government’s newsletter mailed to all addresses in Hanover, is on the website. This issue includes columns by the Board Chairman, County Administrator and School Superintendent and County and Schools news. “The Hanover Review” also includes information about Summer programs offered by Hanover Parks & Recreation – registration has begun!

Planning Academy graduates

Twenty-six (26) citizens have graduated from the 2018 Hanover County Planning Academy and were recognized by the Board of Supervisors last night. Graduates learned about the planning process, the rules and regulations governing zoning and subdivisions, the legal bases for planning, planning for capital improvements, and ethics in the planning process.
