School names on Tuesday night's School Board agenda

The Hanover County School Board meets at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13. Among the items on the agenda for information and discussion are a report on community input regarding school names and a discussion regarding capital improvement plan projects.

Board of Supervisors to consider name of future eastern Hanover park

Among the items on the agenda of the March 14 meeting of the Board Supervisors is the naming of the future eastern Hanover park. This 55-acre park will be built near the intersections of Cold Harbor and Rockhill roads in the Cold Harbor area. The Board will also request authorization of a public hearing for a town/county boundary line adjustment and hear a legislative update from the County Attorney. The meeting begins at 3 p.m.; there will be no evening session. Board meetings can be watched live online, with an archived version generally up on Thursday afternoon.

Next Friday is deadline for nominations for "Spirit of Volunteerism" awards

Hanover County is seeking nominations for its “Spirit of Volunteerism” awards. These awards allow the community to acknowledge the work for those whose efforts change the lives of many.
