Make a Difference on St. Patrick's Day!

   Youth of all ages are invited to celebrate community service  at Hanover's Global Youth Service Day Kick Off Party,  Saturday March 17th from 12:30 to 2:30 at the Patrick Henry YMCA in Ashland.  Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) is the largest service event in the world designed to highlight and harness the impact that young people can have within their community. 

GYSD weekend is April 20-22, but Hanover is getting things started with a party! We invite you to enjoy music, games, mini service projects, and learn more about putting your passion into action. Youth will be able to sign up for ways to make a difference on GYSD weekend and beyond!

Countywide Volunteer Award Nominations Due 

   Nomination Deadline is March 16th.  Anyone can submit a nomination.  Tell us the story of someone you know who is  volunteering their time, talents or resources to make a difference for our community.

Visit www.hanovervolunteers.org  for details, downloadable form or to submit online.  Each nomination requires responses to 4 narrative questions and two letters of support. Honor Seniors, Youth, Adults, Groups, Businesses or persons who have served over 20 years within the same organization.

All nominees will be honored by the Board of Supervisors at Hanover's countywide Spirit of Volunteerism Celebration, May 15th.  Award recipients in each of 7 categories will receive a plaque and $250 will be donated in their name to their designated organization/volunteer program.
