Public hearing on proposed School budget Tuesday night

School Superintendent Dr. Michael Gill will present the proposed Fiscal Year 2019 School Operating Budget, five-year capital improvements plan and FY 19 school nutrition fund budget at Tuesday night’s School Board meeting. Board of Supervisors meets Wednesday night at 6 p.m.

The Hanover County Board of Supervisors meets at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24. Agenda items will include a Community Health Assessment Update, the County Administrator’s presentation of the Board’s proposed Fiscal Year 2019 Initiatives and the County Attorney’s legislative update. Planning public hearings will begin at 7 p.m. Board meetings are videostreamed live and the available for replay beginning on Thursday afternoon.

Winter Home Gardening Series continues tomorrow

Hanover County Master Gardeners have a Winter 2018 Home Gardening Series. Tomorrow’s free class will be on the topic of composting and will be held at the Ashland Library beginning at 9:30 a.m.
