Today is National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day, and Hanover is proud to recognize Rivers Edge Coffee operated by brothers Jett and Micah Odle. From a coffee cart at Memorial Regional Medical Center the brothers opened a brick-and-mortar store at 7032 Mechanicsville Turnpike, and now plan to franchise! April 5th is deadline to register for "Finding Value in Your Prime"

The deadline for registering to attend Hanover County's largest active aging event devoted to seniors, “Finding Value in Your Prime”, is just around the corner. The event is free but the deadline to register is April 5. Don’t delay! “Finding Value in Your Prime” will be held on April 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Fairmount Christian Church in Mechanicsville.

Board of Supervisors to hold public hearing on budget next Wednesday

The Board of Supervisors will hold its public hearing on the proposed Hanover County Fiscal Year 2024 budget on Wednesday, April 5, at 6 p.m. All are invited to provide their feedback at the meeting, or you can email or call the Board of Supervisors, email the County Administrator at [email protected], or call the County Administrator’s office at 804-365-6005. This budget proposal includes enhancements to the tax relief for the elderly and disabled program and an abatement for real property owners.
