Angela Kelly-Wiecek to hold budget town hall meeting on Monday night

Angela Kelly-Wiecek, the Chickahominy District’s representative on the Hanover County Board of Supervisors, will hold a budget town hall meeting at the Atlee Branch Library on Monday, March 6, at 6:30 p.m. Ms. Kelly-Wiecek will provide an overview of the County's proposed Fiscal Year 2024 budget. The Board’s public hearing on the proposed budget will be held on April 5.

Hanover County is experiencing its largest number of children in foster care in years and the Department of Social Services is seeking foster parents. Its PRIDE (Parent Resources for Information, Development, and Education) training helps families learn how to protect and nurture their child while creating relationships that last a lifetime. Community volunteers are among the special people that have made Hanover County a great place to work, live and raise a family. If you know of an outstanding volunteer, we would love for you to submit their name and information for a Hanover County Spirit of Volunteerism award! Friday, March 10 is the deadline so please don’t delay! There are 8 categories in which nominations can be submitted. Nomination forms and information are available at www.HanoverVolunteers.org or by calling the Department of Community Resources at (804) 365-4300.
