Broadband updates can be viewed on new Hanover County website

Hanover County has launched a new website to provide up-to-date information about the “Connect Hanover” project. The Connect Hanover initiative will provide access to broadband internet to all unserved areas in the County. On this website, citizens will find frequent updates to the plan and timeline for providing high-speed internet access to homes and businesses throughout Hanover. The website also contains information about the service provider All Points Broadband (APB). Residents and businesses can find links to sign up for notifications from APB and register their locations for service.

September 9 is deadline to submit nominations for top CSB award

The Hanover County Community Services Board is currently seeking nominations for the Jean C. Harris Award for Excellence. Hanover County is fortunate to have many individuals and organizations helping County residents with support and services related to mental health, substance use and developmental disabilities. It's time to recognize them! The award is named for one of the founding Board members of the Hanover County Community Services Board, Jean C. Harris. She was a compassionate and tireless advocate for persons with disabilities. We know you know someone out there like Jean! The nomination form and further information can be found here. 

Labor Day 9-5-22

County facilities, including solid waste centers, will be closed on Monday in observance of Labor Day

Hanover County Government Offices, facilities (including the Museum of History and Culture) solid waste centers, courts and library branches will be closed on Monday, September 5, for Labor Day. Enjoy the holiday!
