Pet adoption fees waived July 2-9

Beginning Saturday, July 2 and continuing through July 9, Hanover County Animal Control is waiving all adoption fees for qualifying adopters. For any adoption-related questions call 804-365-6485 during regular business hours or stop in, staff will be glad to meet you. The shelter is open Monday-Friday 10-4:30 on Saturday from 10-3:30 by appointment only. Note that the shelter and all other County facilities will be closed on Monday, July 4.

Friday is application deadline for original handcraft and agriculture vendors for 2022 Tomato Festival

July 1 is the application deadline for original handcraft and agriculture vendor applications for the Hanover Tomato Festival! For vendor requirements and links to apply, visit www.HanoverTomatoFestival.com. The Tomato Festival is Friday, July 15 from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday, July 16, from 9-1 this year.

County government offices and facilities will be closed on Monday

All Hanover County government offices, solid waste centers, courts and libraries will be closed on Monday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. We wish all of you a great, safe holiday and please observe fireworks laws.
