Proposed County budget to be presented Wednesday

County Administrator John A. Budesky will present his proposed Fiscal Year 2023 budget to the Hanover County Board of Supervisors at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16. Also making budget presentations at this special meeting will be Col. David R. Hines, Sheriff, and Chief Jethro Piland of Fire/EMS. All Board meetings are open to the public and have time on the agenda for citizens to comment. Board meetings are videostreamed live on the website and the archived version is generally available on the Thursday after the meeting.

Chickahominy Pipeline project paused; no meeting next week

Chickahominy Power, LLC has notified Hanover County that it is hitting "pause" on its project and that the previously scheduled public open house on Feb. 21 in Montpelier has been cancelled. More information is available here.

County offices and solid waste centers closed Monday

Hanover County Government offices, solid waste centers and courts will be closed on Monday, February 21 in observance of Presidents’ Day. Branches of the Pamunkey Regional Library will be open on February 21.
