New website, social media platforms devoted to Comp Plan update

Public engagement on the County's Comprehensive Plan update is underway! A website, logo and social media campaign have been launched, and the first of many open houses have been scheduled (Feb. 8 and Feb. 10). The Plan also has a presence on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Follow and post!

Health District to hold free COVID vaccination clinic on Friday

Chickahominy Health District will hold a free COVID-19 vaccine clinic at its Ashland location in the old Food Lion at 135 Junction Drive between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 21. Moderna, Pfizer and Janssen boosters available. To reserve your appointment call 804-365-3240.

Curbside recycling schedules continue to change

Curbside recycling schedules offered by the Central Virginia Waste Management Authority continue to evolve because of COVID-related absences, winter weather and other factors. Deliveries are often running two or more days late. Residents in Providence and Ashland Park are Red Monday and the remainder of Hanover is Blue Thursday. Citizens can check their locations on the CVWMA website.
