Board dedicates time capsule to County's Museum
Last Wednesday County Administrator John A. Budesky and Hanover Museum of History & Culture Executive Director Jaime Fawcett made a ceremonial presentation of the County's 300th birthday time capsule to the Board of Supervisors. The box was locked by Board chairman Sean Davis. The time capsule contains items intended to represent the years 2020 and 2021 and will be stored in Hanover's museum, not to be re-opened until 100 years from now. The box contains such items as the program for the opening of the museum on August 28, a newspaper article about the event, a COVID-19 vaccination card and face covering, coins in laminated sleeves, an i-phone, a thumb drive and badges representing the Hanover Sheriff's Office and Hanover Fire/EMS. This ceremony culminates the celebration of the County's 300th birthday.
