Hanover County celebrates its birthday with big event on Saturday; opens its new museum at 9:30

Hanover County holds a once-in-a-lifetime event on Saturday at the Courthouse complex: the celebration of its 300th birthday and the opening of the new Museum of History & Culture. This free public event will feature live music, games for children and activities for all ages. Called "Make History With Us", it will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a ribbon cutting of the museum, after which attendees are invited to inside and check it out! The first 500 families to visit the County's Welcome Table will receive free gifts commemorating the historic occasion. Local businesses and raffle drawings will take place periodically.
