Hanover Vaccination Center Winds Down
The Hanover County Vaccination Center, located at 135 Junction Drive, is reaching its final weeks of operation. There are several clinics remaining this month, but on June 25, 2021, the vaccination center will close its doors. Most of the remaining appointments are for those with previously scheduled second dose appointments; however, the center will still accept walk-ins during all remaining clinics. Anyone receiving his or her first dose through a walk-in visit at the vaccination center will need to obtain their second dose from one of our community partners.
The Hanover County Vaccination Center is open to anyone working or living in the Chickahominy Health District, which includes Hanover, Charles City, Goochland and New Kent. The Pfizer vaccine is approved for use in those ages 12 and up. Moderna and Johnson and Johnson vaccines are approved for those ages 18 and up. Johnson and Johnson is a one-dose vaccine. Anyone under 18 will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Residents will still be able to get vaccinated at other area locations once the Hanover County Vaccination Center closes. To find the vaccine at a location near you, visit www.vaccinefinder.org
