LOVE letters in Hanover

State's LOVE letters will be in Hanover next week

Hanover County will host Virginia Tourism’s life-sized LOVE letters on the lawn of the Hanover Branch Library at Hanover Courthouse from Feb. 11-15 as part of the #HereinHanoverVA campaign to honor the County’s 300th birthday recognition. Come out with your Valentine, take photos and tag #HereinHanoverVA when you post your image on social media!

County Administrator to present proposed budget to the Board of Supervisors on Wednesday, Feb. 10

On Wednesday, Feb. 10, the Board of Supervisors will hear several presentations related to the proposed Fiscal Year 2022 budget. John A. Budesky, County Administrator, will present the County’s proposed budget. Dr. Michael B. Gill, School superintendent, will present the School Budget’s proposed budget. Col. David R. Hines, Sheriff, and Fire Chief Jethro Piland also will make budget presentations. The Board’s meeting begins at 2 p.m. There will be no evening session on Feb. 10. Citizen comments and in-person attendance procedures have been established. Board meetings can be watched live online with the archived version up on Thursday afternoon.

Hanover County is staffing a call center to answer questions related to COVID-19. The number is 804-365-3240. Answers to questions that are frequently being asked of the call center can be read here along with information about the vaccination clinic the County has opened in the old Food Lion in the Ashland Junction Shopping Center.
