Board of Supervisors meets Wednesday night at 6 p.m.

The Board of Supervisors meets at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27. Jim Taylor, Deputy County Administrator, will update the Board on what is being done regarding COVID vaccinations. As of January 20, there have been 5,250 reported cases of COVID-19 in Hanover, resulting in 88 deaths. Public hearings begin at 7 p.m., including a public hearing on a Through Truck Restriction request for Atlee Road. Planning public hearings include a request by Heidi M. and Lamerro L. Mason to permit a recreational facility/event venue on the east side of Horseshoe Bridge Road about 300 feet north of its intersection with Rt. 54. Also on the Planning public hearing agenda is a request by Hickory Hill II, L.L.C to rezone 51.5 acres on the north line of Rt. 54 at its intersection with Providence Church Road to development of a mix of commercial and residential uses. Aubrey M. Stanley, Beaverdam District Supervisor, has stated he intends to make a motion to defer the Hickory Hill request to permit the application to make adjustments to the conceptual plan and proffers. Should the Board of Supervisors grant the deferral, the applicant will be scheduling a community meeting prior to March 10 to allow the public to review the proposed revisions.

All Board meetings are videostreamed live and can be watched here, with the archived meeting being available general the next day.
