Hanover County Administrator, Rhu Harris retires

Hanover County said goodbye to retiring County Administrator, Rhu Harris yesterday.  Mr. Harris served Hanover County for 36 years with 16 of those years spent as County Administrator.   County employees, elected officials and other special guests stopped by to congratulate him and wish him a happy retirement.  Mr. Harris has served this county for many years and has been an amazing leader.  He will be missed dearly, but we wish him a long and happy retirement.  Prior to his leaving, he agreed to sit down with Public Information Officer, Tom Harris, to talk about his years of service.  That video can been seen here.

Hanover DASH Celebrates Six Months of Service

The Hanover DASH program is celebrating six months of operation by offering special enhancements to thank their current riders as well as attract new riders to the program.  Program enhancements include; “No Co-Pay Period” from June 12-September 30 during which time Hanover DASH is waiving the $6.00 trip fee on all trips requested and occurring.  Hanover DASH will also be expanding hours of operation to 6 AM to 6 PM Monday through Saturday.  In addition, employment transportation is now an eligible Trip Type.  Service areas will now include medical facilities at Stony Point.  More information about the DASH program can be found here.  

DMV Select

DMV Select Services Resume by Appointment Only

The Commissioner of the Revenue Office will resume DMV Select operations beginning Monday, June 15th by APPOINTMENT ONLY. Walk-in’s will NOT be accepted.  Appointment times are Monday-Friday 9:00am-3:45pm. Please visit Hanover DMV Select to schedule your appointment. Per Executive Order Number 63, face coverings will be required
