Notice on Comments for Planning Commission’s April 16 Meeting; Citizens Strongly Encouraged to Participate via Email or Phone
The Hanover County Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 16. A Citizens’ Time of up to 20 minutes will be offered before the public hearings begin. Given the current health crisis, the county strongly encourages those who wish to make their opinions known during Citizens' Time or during the public hearings to provide their comments online or by phone. You can leave your comments by calling 365-3384. Each caller may have up to five minutes, consistent with the Planning Commission's meeting rules. You may also email your citizens time comments or your public hearing comments. The deadline to receive all comments is 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15. All comments received by the deadline will be made a part of the record.
The Planning Commission strongly encourages those who wish to comment to communicate by phone or email. Those who wish to speak in person, at either Citizens’ Time or during a public hearing, are required to register in advance here by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15. Public entry into the Administration Building will be limited to no more than 10 non-county staff in the designated areas. Social distancing will be observed with members of the public in the board room. Hanover County strives to continue to conduct the public’s business, take the necessary precautions to protect residents participating in public meetings and comply with Governor Northam’s executive orders.
