Board of Supervisors to meet on March 25 but no public hearings

The Board of Supervisors meets Wednesday night at 6 p.m. In recognition of the current public health crisis and the guidelines issued by the Governor, the Board has decided that the public hearings scheduled to be heard on March 25 will be rescheduled to a future date. There also will be no citizens’ time on March 25. The Board will meet at 6 p.m. in the Board room as previously announced; however, the only items that will be considered by the Board will be administrative matters and a closed session.

County meeting cancellations over the next seven days

Due to the current health crisis, the following County meetings over the next seven days have been cancelled: the Roads Committee meeting; the Department of Social Services Advisory Board meeting; the Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee meeting; the Pamunkey Regional Library Board meeting; and the Broadband Advisory Committee meeting.

Hanover County DMV Select Services closed

In order to minimize the number of citizens needing to visit our office, the Commissioner of the Revenue has suspended all DMV Select services until further notice.

Hanover libraries closed through March 28

All branches of the Pamunkey Regional Library will be closed to the public through Saturday, March 28. The library will provide curbside service from Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Call your local branch for curbside service. The library also has cancelled all programs through April 12.

A page has been added to the Hanover County website to provide information about the COVID-19 caronavirus. Here you can find updates, helpful links, videos, as well as county cancellation and closings as as result of the COVID-19 caronavirus.

Used Oil Collection Resumed

Hanover County convenience centers and transfer stations have resumed collection of used oil. Collection is being resumed following a brief suspension to allow for testing.
