Hanover County will be offering a new special event, History and Hops, on Friday, June 2, from 6-9 p.m. on the grounds of the historic Hanover Courthouse.
This exciting event will feature costumed interpreters, demonstrations, unique entertainment, and a variety of other activities. All are invited to experience the sights and sounds of the American Revolution and customers who are 21 and over will be able enjoy a wide range of craft beer options.
The event is free and open to the public with activities for all ages. A variety of additional demonstrations and special entertainment will be provided throughout the evening. Food will be available for purchase.
All proceeds will support the Hanover C.R.E.W. Foundation.
Period re-enactors will include the First Virginia Regiment, Patrick Henry, George Washington, Martha Washington, and Thomas Jefferson. Local resource vendors will include the VA 250 local committee; Virginia Cooperative Extension; Ashland Museum; BeerHistorics; Black Heritage Society; Hanover Historical Society; Pamunkey Regional Library; Parson’s Cause Foundation; Pole Green Church Foundation; and Patrick Henry’s Scotchtown.
Parking will be available at the Hanover County Government Complex.
