Hanover County continues to work on the Comprehensive Plan Update (known as Envision Hanover) and is seeking public feedback on concepts related to pedestrian/bicycle mobility, housing, and rural character. Several in-person events have been scheduled for April and early May.

Office hours will also be held at the Mechanicsville Library on Tuesday, April 18 from 12-2 p.m. to allow for more informal one-on-one conversations with the project team. Since the Envision Hanover planning process began in Fall 2021, the public has been asked to provide ideas and input on a variety of different topics related to the County’s long-range growth and development. Over 4,000 comments have been received.

The update process is expected to continue through Summer/Fall 2023.
