The Hanover County Community Services Board is undergoing a comprehensive review and redesign of how individuals access available services. Individuals currently receiving services, as well as others in the community who have accessed services in the past, are asked to complete a brief survey. This survey can be accessed here. Copies of the survey are also available at the following CSB locations: Ashland (12300 Washington Highway, Ashland), Atlee Commons (9734 Atlee Commons Drive, Ashland) and Bell Creek (8475 Bell Creek Road, Mechanicsville).
This survey will provide valuable information about how possible changes might best support the individuals and families accessing CSB services.
Hanover’s CSB is one of 40 community services boards across the Commonwealth of Virginia. The agency’s mission is “to partner with individuals to provide supports and services in the areas of mental health, developmental disabilities and substance use disorders in their efforts to lead satisfying and productive lives in their communities”. HCCSB provides a range of services and programs to county residents and is licensed by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and accredited by CARF International, an independent, non-profit accreditor of health and human services agencies. A12-member Board of Directors, appointed by the Hanover County Board of Supervisors, along with nearly 150 employees serve over 5,000 individuals each year.
The survey will be available until July 16th. For more information, please contact Lisa Beitz at [email protected] or 804-365-4221.
