Hanover County is working with residents, businesses, landowners, and other community members to update the Comprehensive Plan, which is the County’s long-range vision for the future. The plan addresses a variety of topics, including land use, housing, economic development, and natural resources. It identifies objectives and strategies that can be implemented to realize the community’s vision for the future, serving as a guide for growth, development, and preservation.  

As part of the Comprehensive Plan update, a series of open houses are scheduled for early February. Participants may come any time during the open houses to learn more about the planning process and provide feedback regarding their vision for the community’s future. There will be different stations that participants can visit at their own pace during the open houses. Masks and social distancing are recommended.
