[ARCHIVED] Chickahominy Pipeline to appear; Board seeks input

Representatives of Chickahominy Pipeline LLC have agreed to appear before the Board of Supervisors at their meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 12th, at 6 p.m. to provide an overview and answer questions on their plan to build a natural gas pipeline through five counties, including Hanover, in order to serve a proposed natural gas power plant in Charles City County.

No action or citizen comments will be taken by the Board of Supervisors during the meeting on this topic, as this is not a public hearing.  However, the Board of Supervisors asks citizens to submit questions in advance which can be presented to the Chickahominy Pipeline representatives on January 12th.

If you have a question you would like to be asked of Chickahominy Pipeline, please go here. Please include your name, address and the election district in which you live.  In order to have all of the questions prepared for consideration by the Board, the deadline to submit questions is Tuesday, Jan. 11th, at 4 p.m. All questions will be gathered and sent to the Board in advance of the Jan. 12th meeting.

The questions answered during the meeting will be made a part of the Board’s official minutes. All questions, whether asked during the Board meeting or not, will be submitted to Chickahominy Pipeline for a response. Questions and answers will also be made available on the County’s website.

All Board meetings can be watched live here and an archived version of the meeting is generally available on the same page the day after the meeting.
