[ARCHIVED] Board of Supervisors to appoint two School Board members on Wednesday, June 28

At its 3:00 p.m. meeting on Wednesday, June 28, the Board of Supervisors is scheduled to appoint School Board members for the Cold Harbor and South Anna districts.

Incumbents in both districts – Norman Sulser in Cold Harbor and Sue Dibble in South Anna – have announced themselves as candidates for reappointment.  Two other candidates announced themselves in the South Anna District – Clara James Scott and Lakisha Greenhow.

The supervisor representing the district makes the nomination, which has to be voted upon by the full Board.  Appointments are made for a four-year term.

Also on the afternoon agenda of the Board’s June 28 meeting will be two awards and presentations from the Department of Community Resources on services for seniors and from the Finance Director on debt issuance.  The Public Utilities Director will also request approval of a utility service agreement.

The Board will have an evening session at 7:00 p.m., during which several public hearings will be held, including a proposal from the Treasurer to authorize the selling of lifetime dog licenses for $10.

Board meetings can be watched live online with the archived version available on Thursday afternoon.
