VDOT to hold public hearing on proposed through truck restrictions

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a public hearing on proposed through truck restrictions on five Hanover County routes on Thursday, December 2. The primary purpose of the meeting is to review the through truck restrictions process, discuss the schedule, highlight current recommendations and receive feedback from citizens and stakeholders.

Potentially affected are these routes

  • Ashcake Road
  • Atlee Road
  • Atlee Station Road
  • New Ashcake Road
  • Peaks Road

The meeting will be held in a presentation format from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the Hanover County Administration Building, located at 7515 County Complex Road, Hanover VA 23069. There will be two identical presentations, from 5:30 to 5:45 p.m. and from 6:30 to 6:45 p.m. Comments will be heard from 5:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. and from 6:30 to 6:45 p.m.  Two minutes will be allotted for each citizen comment.

Comments about the proposed restrictions may be submitted at the meeting or until December 16 by mailing them to Phillip Frazer, Ashland Assistant Resident Engineer, Virginia Department of Transportation, 523 N.
