On Thursday night, June 15, the Hanover Planning Commission will discuss the process and timing of moving forward with the 2017 update of the Comprehensive Plan. 

Planning Department staff is seeking direction for a general timeframe to conduct citizen work sessions and a subsequent public hearing.  Information gathered at the citizen work sessions will enable staff to prepare recommendations and provide ample opportunity for the Commission and citizens to consider those recommendations.

Staff will use the Commission’s guidance to coordinate meeting locations and facilities.  Current preparations using social media, the County website and a citizen’s guide brochure to disseminate information about the update to the public will be presented. 

Thursday night’s meeting begins at 7 p.m. The workshop will be preceded by several public hearings.
