The Hanover County Department of Public Works asks customers who are planning on bringing large loads to the Mechanicsville Trash and Recycling Center to instead take your loads to the Transfer Station at Hanover Courthouse. The address for that facility is 7234 Courtland Farm Road, Hanover VA 23069.

A compactor at the Mechanicsville Center is under repair and may be down until April 19. Until that time or until further notice, the Department appreciates your cooperation in diverting large loads to the Transfer Station at Hanover Courthouse.
