[ARCHIVED] Board seeks nominations for Cold Harbor, South Anna School Board seats

The Board of Supervisors is seeking nominations for the School Board seats representing the Cold Harbor and South Anna districts.

School Board members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors to serve four-year terms. Each of Hanover’s seven election districts has a member on the School Board, which sets policy for the Hanover County Public School system.

The Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 28, at 6 p.m. Any person who wishes to be considered for a School Board seat must announce themselves or be announced at that public hearing. Those who seek the position are invited to speak on their own behalf and have supporters speak for them. You must live within the district for which you are seeking the nomination.

Michael Herzberg is the Supervisor representing the Cold Harbor District. He can be reached at [email protected] or (804) 304-8062. Susan Dibble is the Supervisor representing the South Anna District. She can be reached at [email protected] or (804) 357-6438.

After nominations have been submitted, Mr. Herzberg and Mrs. Dibble will interview candidates and make a nomination to the full Board of Supervisors. The Board is expected to appoint the Cold Harbor and South Anna School Board representatives on Wednesday, May 26.
