[ARCHIVED] Taylor's Pirate Fishing Fun Day is This Weekend!

The event, held at the pond at Courthouse Park, runs from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity for youth to try fishing for the first time, or more experienced anglers to catch the ‘big one’. This catch and release fishing experience is the perfect way to get your child hooked on fishing.
Taylor, the Parks and Recreation mascot will be there too! He has his pirate costume ready and is ready for some Pirate Fishing FUN! Pirates age 12 and under will also have the opportunity to make craft projects and get a pirate tattoo in the "Children's Cove". Taylor is also bringing his large inflatable pirate ship for children to play in, just in case the fish aren't biting.
No fishing license or registration is required for this FREE family event. Bait and rods will be available on a first come, first served basis, but if you have your own, please bring it. Taylor’s Pirate Fishing Fun day is sponsored by: Papa John’s, Renewal by Anderson of Central Virginia, Richmond Macaroni Kid, and Genesis Electrical Services, Inc. Courthouse Park is located at: 7232 Courtland Farm Road, Hanover, VA 23069.
