Hanover County has partnered with United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg to distribute funding to community partners to help those who need direct assistance during this time. The following Hanover community partners have received Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding for non-profits:

United Way, citing its campaign partnership with Hanover County Government, has agreed to administer these funds without any administrative fee.  Moreover, United Way will work with Hanover County Government to ensure that the funds are spent appropriately in order to maximize their benefit to the intended population.

The Hanover County Board of Supervisors made the funds available from the County’s Coronavirus Relief Funds under the CARES Act.

Those in need of assistance must apply to one of the listed organizations prior to December 31, 2020. Organizations will be assisting Hanover residents based upon availability of funding.

Additional organizations will be approved for funding on a rolling basis until all funds are distributed.
