[ARCHIVED] Hanover extends application period for Small Business Resiliency Grant program

The application period for Hanover County’s Small Business Resiliency Grant program has been extended to August 14 at 11:59 p.m. The maximum grant amount available to an individual business under this program is now $7,500.

Made available by the Board of Supervisors from the County’s Coronavirus Relief Funds, the program provides a one-time, emergency grant to eligible, for-profit small businesses in Hanover County. The purpose of the grant is to assist with unplanned costs incurred as a direct result of interruptions to business and mandated business closures due to COVID-19.

Applicants will be required to demonstrate that they are eligible, that they were operational pre-COVID-19, and that they are suffering negative impacts from COVID-19 closures.

There are a limited number of funds available, so eligible businesses will be selected, at random, until the total amount of funds are distributed. Applications submitted without all required documentation will be deemed incomplete and therefore ineligible for consideration.

Businesses that are randomly selected to receive grant funds will be notified on August 17, 2020.
