In these challenging times, where we are unable to physically gather together, the spirit of Memorial Day remains strong, especially here in Hanover County. The importance of honoring the brave Veterans who gave their life defending our country and those who are currently serving our military to ensure our freedom is as important as ever. The Hanover Veterans Memorial Committee, along with Hanover County Parks and Recreation, invite you to take a few moments to be part of our virtual ceremony by viewing this video (https://youtu.be/9Y81wcr5Sz0) from the Hanover Veterans Memorial at Hanover Wayside Park.
Speaker, George Navas is a US Navy veteran and Chairman of the Hanover Veterans Memorial Committee. Laying the wreath is Colin Williamson, a US Army veteran and longtime member of the Hanover Veterans Memorial Committee.
