The Board of Supervisors will be re-instituting up to 30 minutes for Citizens’ Time at its April 8 meeting. Given the current health crisis, the County encourages those who wish to make their opinions known during Citizens’ Time to provide their comments online or by phone. You can leave your comments by calling 365-3333. Each caller may have up to three minutes as is consistent with the Board’s meeting rules. You may also email your comments. All comments received will be read into the record. If you wish to speak in person at Citizens’ Time, please pre-register at Request to Speak at Citizens’ Time. Pre-registration will allow the county to ensure that no more than 10 members of the public are in the Board Room at any one time. Social distancing also will be observed. Submission deadlines for each board meeting will be communicated to the public on the County’s website, in Hanover Access News (HAN) emails and on social media.
At this time, the Board plans to hold public hearings on various Planning requests on April 15th and 22nd. The county is working diligently to explore additional opportunities for citizen input and develop safety protocols for all who may wish to attend. Those will also be communicated in advance through the established communication channels indicated above.
