Hanover County government offices and courts will be closed Monday, March 16, for planning and to begin additional cleaning in response to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak.
The closures were announced in concert on Sunday with Hanover’s regional partners in the Central Virginia All Hazards Management Team. The closures are designed to ensure the health and safety of residents, employees and the general public. Designated personnel will report for work, operations to ensure public safety and health will not be impacted.
Hanover County is joining with our regional partners in Chesterfield, Goochland, Henrico and the City of Richmond to ensure the health and safety of residents, employees and the general public.
The localities on Friday declared states of emergency as a precautionary measure over the global outbreak of the coronavirus.
