Martha Waldrop McCartney, author of Nature’s Bounty, Nation’s Glory: The Heritage and History of Hanover County, Virginia will speak and sign copies of her book at the Montpelier Center for Arts and Education on Tuesday, February 11, at 7 p.m.
McCartney is a Virginia native with roots in Hanover County and a professional career with the Virginia Historic Landmarks Commission. Her book was published in 2009. At Tuesday night’s presentation, the Hanover County Historical Society will provide copies for sale and Martha will sign them.
Her appearance at the Montpelier Center for Arts and Education is part of its “History Returns” series. Tuesday night’s program is called “Hanover: Inside and Out – Exploring the past 300 years and more”. Refreshments will be provided.
This event is also part of Hanover’s 300th birthday celebration.
